General introduction of China slurry pump research history

We mainly introduce the experimental research of the motion regular pattern of solid particles in the pump and the experimental research results of the influence of solid-liquid mixture on pump performance.

1. Experimental study on the motion regular pattern of solid particles in the pump.

In the experimental study of the motion regular pattern of solid particles in the pump impeller, Zhao Zhenhai of Shijiazhuang Impurity Pump Research Institute used high-speed photography technology to study the motion regular pattern of solid materials in the pump impeller for the first time in China when he was a graduate student at Tsinghua University. Pioneering work has been done in the development of test equipment and the study of the motion regular pattern of solid particles in the pump. Later, Dai Jiang of Tsinghua University used a high-speed camera to study the flow regular pattern of solid-liquid two-phase turbulent flow in a centrifugal pump impeller, and completed his doctoral dissertation.

As mentioned above, they use high-speed photography technology to conduct photographic research on the solid-liquid two-phase flow in the impeller of a semi-open centrifugal pump, and obtained the flow regular patternof solids in the impeller. Jiang Peizheng et al. from Xi'an Jiaotong University conducted a high-speed photographic experimental study on the solid-liquid two-phase flow in a closed pump impeller, and obtained the velocity distribution and concentration distribution of the solid particle phase in the pump impeller, as well as the movement trajectory and concentration of a single particle in the impeller.

2. Experimental research on the effect of slurry on pump performance In the experimental research on the impact of slurry (solid-liquid mixture) on pump performance, the earliest research work was the experimental research report on sand pump mortar performance first proposed by Shijiazhuang Pump Factory in 1976. In the experimental research work, the 6PH type ash pear was used to transport the mortar containing particles with a particle size of 1 m and a relative density of 2.58. The effect of the concentration of the solid-liquid mixture on the lift, shaft power and efficiency was studied.

From 1983 to 1985, Shijiazhuang Impurity Pump Research Institute used 4PN mud pump to transport the slurry performance test of solid materials with particles d=0.075mm, 0.16mm, 0.70mm and 7mm, and systematically studied the slurry concentration, relative density and particle size effect on pump performance.

Tsinghua University put forward experimental reports in 1986 and 1989, respectively, to study the experimental study of the effect of solid-liquid mixture on the performance of centrifugal pumps.

From 1986 to 1987, Shijiazhuang Impurity Pump Research Institute carried out 6BA-8, 6/4E-AH and 6/4LXL-H-36 centrifugal pumps to transport d=0.071mm sediment and d=0.154mm river sand in different slurry concentrations A systematic test was carried out in the following, and it was comprehensively studied that the performance change  regular patterns of different types of pumps were different. The 6BA-8 type pump designed with the theory of clear water was not suitable for conveying slurry; 4PN type pump) When conveying fine-grained slurry, the efficiency of the pump is sometimes higher than that of clear water. When conveying coarse-grained slurry, the pump efficiency is generally lower than that of clear water. An optimum delivery concentration exists.

In 1989, Pidgeray published an article proposing the experimental results of the effect of sand-laden water flow on the performance of centrifugal pumps.

In 1990, Chen Cichang et al. studied the two-phase flow in the impeller of a centrifugal pump and the performance of the pump.

In 1999, He Xijie and others studied and analyzed the influence of slurry viscosity and concentration on the performance of slurry pump according to the test results.

In 2000, Wu Yulin, Uno Mizuo, Nishida Hiro, etc. used visualization and image processing to observe particle distribution and pressure distribution in the impeller of solid-liquid two-phase flow pump, and studied the relationship between particle moving speed and abrasion, in order to develop and The design of two-phase flow pump provides a reliable theoretical basis.
